Cookie policy

We keep cookies to a minimum. vegama.dk only uses the cookies it needs to work, like remembering your cart and keeping you signed in. We don’t use cookies for advertising or to follow you around the internet.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser saves when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things, like what is in your cart.

The cookies we use

  • Your cart (WooCommerce): remembers what you put in your cart until you close the browser, and keeps your cart and checkout together for up to 2 days.
  • Signing in (WordPress): keeps you signed in to your account for 2 days, or 14 days if you tick “Remember me”.
  • Comments (WordPress): remembers your name and email for next time, but only if you tick the box. Lasts about 1 year.
  • Safe payments (Stripe): helps stop card fraud at checkout. Lasts up to 1 year.
  • Security (Wordfence): protects the site from attacks while you are signed in. Lasts 12 hours.

All of these are needed for the site to work, so Danish rules don’t require your consent for them.

Videos

Our recipe videos are on YouTube, shown in privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is saved before you press play. When you press play, YouTube (Google) may save cookies to play the video and count views. If you’d rather not, don’t press play: the full recipe is written on the page.

Fonts

Our fonts load from Google Fonts. This is not a cookie, but your browser sends your IP address to Google when it loads them.

How to remove cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings whenever you like. If you block the ones we need, your cart and checkout will stop working.
